My #CreativesWithBrendan project first started in 2018. My aim then as it is now was to share some of my creative peers stories & give you an insight into their lives. Meeting new, interesting people is one of the main reasons I love my life as a freelance photographer so much & this project was my way of giving back to my community by helping people share their stories with accompanying photographs of them in action & sometimes even photo's from their past too. It just gives you a nice look at the subjects journey so far & a glimpse of what they see in their future.
#CreativesWithBrendan - Introduces @laurenmabbettphotography a Brighton based photographer & dancer. I had the pleasure of meeting & photographing her earlier this year when I visited Brighton. In her own words: Hi I’m Lauren Mabbett a Freelance Photographer. I’m a northerner based on the south coast in Brighton. I have been a dancer my whole life, having the biggest competition I’ve been included in being at Wembley Stadium. I was the front page of national newspapers for nearly drowning in Spain age 4 😂 & I’m a trained scuba diver and have dived in every country I’ve visited. 🐠 I went on a UK tour with Sean Paul and clients have included some famous J’s... James Arthur, Jay 1 and Jeremy Corbyn. 📸 This new look for my #CreativesWithBrendan was made to be shared on my @PortsWithBrendan Instagram stories to tell them in a better more fluid way, but they work as part of a gallery too, so be sure to click through & have a read of Lauren's full story.
